The shared goal

A strong foundation for the next five years

When 2,500 people commit €25 a month, that represents €750,000 a year and €3.75 million over five years. The five-year amount is the total value of those commitments, not money received in advance.

Why your support matters

Build a living knowledge institution

Public funding and project grants alone do not provide the continuity needed for long-term stewardship. Recurring support makes it possible to plan beyond a single project.

Preserve

Care for objects, photographs, archives and audiovisual sources from Moluccan communities.

Research

Add context, names and connections so that collection material becomes more meaningful and searchable.

Share

Create exhibitions, stories and programmes in which different generations can recognise and question history.

Connect

Work with makers, researchers and communities to keep knowledge in motion.

What growth can enable

Every milestone strengthens the foundation

These milestones describe the intended growth path. They are not promises that a specific project starts automatically when a number is reached.

  1. 100donors represent30,000.00 €a year at the campaign's reference amount.

Fund and grant applications require time, case knowledge and follow-up. With a first steady group of donors, we can free up that capacity structurally instead of improvising per application.

Periodic gift

Choose long-term support

A periodic gift is recorded in a written agreement. Under the current Dutch tax rules, you donate the same amount each year for five calendar years, receive no consideration and make the gift in money.

Choosing an amount starts your gift and sends you the agreement to sign, dated the day you arrange it. Signing is what makes the agreement valid: without it, the gift does not qualify for the cultural-ANBI deduction.

  • The same annual amount for five calendar years
  • A written private or notarial agreement
  • No goods or services in return
  • Only gifts made after the agreement count as periodic gifts

For individuals, the Dutch cultural-ANBI increase is currently 25%, with a maximum increase of €1,250 per year. Your actual deduction and tax effect depend on your personal situation.

One-time gift

Prefer to support once?

A one-time gift supports Museum Maluku directly. It does not create a subscription and does not count towards the target of 2,500 periodic donors, which is a different way of helping rather than a lesser one.

Checkout and payment are handled by the existing secure Odoo shop.

About the figures

How do we count?

The total counts people with a running periodic-gift agreement, each person once, however many agreements they hold. The annual figure is the sum of those running commitments, not an estimate based on an average gift.

One-time gifts support Museum Maluku directly, but do not count towards the target of 2,500 periodic donors.

Trust and transparency

Your support deserves clarity

Museum Maluku uses financial support for its museum purpose: preserving, researching and sharing Moluccan heritage. Personal donor data and gift amounts are not published on this page.

Good to know

Questions about donating

Does the form immediately start a monthly payment?

No. It is a request to discuss and prepare a periodic-gift agreement. Museum Maluku will contact you; no payment starts through this form.

Is a one-time gift tax-deductible?

Ordinary gifts to an ANBI may be deductible above a threshold and up to a maximum. The rules depend on your income and circumstances. Check the current rules with the Dutch Tax Administration.

Why is there no current donor total?

Museum Maluku only publishes campaign progress when the number can be updated reliably from the donor administration. The page therefore shows the target without suggesting unverified progress.

Can I donate collection material here?

No. Use the separate Donations & acquisitions route so collection staff can assess the material and its context.

Can an organisation support Museum Maluku?

Yes. For a tailored institutional contribution or partnership, contact Museum Maluku so the purpose and conditions can be discussed.
