Fund and grant applications require time, case knowledge and follow-up. With a first steady group of donors, we can free up that capacity structurally instead of improvising per application.

A growing donor base requires administration that can handle it: clear agreements, timely direct debit collection, and an annual moment when we show donors what has been done with their support. General information about periodic gifts and ANBI status is also part of this.

Heritage spread across two continents calls for cooperation that goes beyond a single visit. It involves research, knowledge exchange, shared care for collections and institution-building on both sides.

An exhibition is up for a few months and then disappears. By systematically recording new presentations in 3D, what would otherwise only live on in visitors' memories remains accessible. We aim to keep that digital access public.

About the figures
How do we count?
The total counts people with a running periodic-gift agreement, each person once, however many agreements they hold. The annual figure is the sum of those running commitments, not an estimate based on an average gift.
One-time gifts support Museum Maluku directly, but do not count towards the target of 2,500 periodic donors.

Questions about donating
What happens when I choose an amount?
Your amount goes to the basket and you pay through the secure web shop. For a periodic gift you sign in or create an account first, because the recurring mandate is tied to it. Once the order is confirmed you receive the agreement to sign.
Is a one-time gift tax-deductible?
Ordinary gifts to an ANBI may be deductible above a threshold and up to a maximum. The rules depend on your income and circumstances. Check the current rules with the Dutch Tax Administration.
How current is the donor total?
The total at the top of this page is recounted from the donor administration several times a day. The figures show when the last count took place and when the next one is scheduled. A new sign-up therefore does not always appear immediately.
Can I donate collection material here?
No. Use the separate Donations & acquisitions route so collection staff can assess the material and its context.
Can an organisation support Museum Maluku?
