Get involved
Not everything needs to be in your inbox. Once a month we choose the stories, activities, collection discoveries and developments we think are most worth your time.
You will first get an email to confirm your subscription. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Every edition has the same shape, so you know what you are opening.
01
One story, development or question that deserves more attention that month.
02
A short selection from the collection, the stories, our research, the publications, the podcast and video, and the exhibitions.
03
Three to five activities, with their dates. The full agenda stays on the website.
04
A maker, an initiative, a publication or a cultural development that is worth knowing about, including when it is not ours.
05
What the museum itself is doing, when there is something real to report.
Only when there is news
From stories and collection to makers, activities and news. Every edition returns to these strands, always with new stories and subjects.

From the community
One maker, initiative, publication or development from outside the museum, chosen by the editors.
The items above are current examples from our own website, to show the shape of an edition. What we actually select each month is decided by the editors.
We publish stories, activities and collection material continuously. Once a month we make a selection from all of it. That keeps the newsletter readable, and it leaves you to choose what you want to go deeper into.
So not every article is in it. Not every activity is in it. Not every announcement is in it.
You receive one regular newsletter a month. Beyond that we only write to you when something genuinely cannot wait, such as a closure or a change to something you have booked.
What we look at when we select:
