What can you expect?
Een bezoek aan Museum Maluku is geen wandeling langs één vast verhaal. Je beweegt tussen persoonlijke herinneringen, historische context, hedendaagse perspectieven en nieuwe interpretaties van Moluks erfgoed. Soms sta je dicht bij een persoonlijk verhaal, soms juist bij een object, beeld of kunstwerk dat grotere vragen oproept. De ervaring wisselt tussen kijken, lezen, luisteren en ontdekken, met ruimte om zelf verbanden te leggen en je eigen perspectief mee te nemen.
Neem ongeveer een uur voor een rustig bezoek, of langer als je meer tijd wilt nemen voor de verhalen en details.

Is the Museumkaart accepted?
Yes. With a valid Museumkaart you have free admission.
Do I need to buy a ticket in advance?
That's not necessary, you can also buy a ticket at the desk. You can buy online via the ticket page.
When is the museum closed?
The museum is closed on Mondays. In addition, the following exceptions apply:

May I take photographs in the museum?
Photographs and film recordings for private use are allowed, without lights, flash or tripod. Other visitors must not be recognisable in the shot.
Where can I leave my coat and bag?
In the cloakroom there are lockers for your coat, umbrella, backpack and walking sticks. These are not allowed inside the museum. We cannot store large backpacks and suitcases.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are not allowed, with the exception of certified assistance dogs. These are welcome, on a lead.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Food and drink you bring with you cannot be consumed in the museum café, on the terrace or in the galleries.
Can I smoke at the museum?
The museum is smoke-free, including for e-cigarettes, both inside and on the terrace. There is a smoking area directly to the right of the entrance.
