Changes on the board of the Moluccan Historical Museum

In September 2022 the board of the Moluccan Historical Museum Foundation welcomed two new board members, but also said goodbye to one.

Change of board

Sharon Sourbag has been appointed as the new chair of the board of the Moluccan Historical Museum Foundation, popularly also known as Museum Maluku. She succeeds Kaja Sariwating, who stepped down in August 2022 after 4 years. In addition, Ezra Papilaja has joined as a general board member.

After 4.5 years Joan Hoexum has stepped down from her role as board member and secretary. During those years she contributed with great commitment and passion to the foundation’s process of change and its change of strategy. The board is very grateful to her for her efforts, involvement and results. General board member Sara Taihuttu takes over the role of secretary.

After the changes the board consists of:

• Sharon Sourbag – chair

• Ruud van Gessel – treasurer

• Sara Taihuttu – secretary

• Lydia Sahetapy Engel – general board member

• Ezra Papilaja – general board member
