With effect from 10 March 2020, Henry Timisela is the new director of the Moluks Historisch Museum. On 5 March the board of the Moluks Historisch Museum approved his appointment.
Henry Timisela is glad of his appointment. 'Precisely in this time, when there is so much Moluccan talent, it is up to the Moluks Historisch Museum to give those people a platform. That is a role the museum has had for many years, and one it will now fulfil even more by seeking people out around the country and working together with them. The Moluccan story matters. I am looking forward to getting started.'
THE RIGHT PERSON IN THE RIGHT PLACE
Henry Timisela succeeds Nelleke Launspach, who left the Moluks Historisch Museum on 1 February 2020 after a short interim period. The board of the Moluks Historisch Museum sees Timisela as the ideal successor to Launspach.

TBT WORKS
In recent years Timisela worked freelance as a programme maker, project leader and journalist. With his brother Joshua he founded the production company TBT Works. Together they made the feature film JEFTA and the theatre productions Het Geheim van The Brothers Timisela, Enkeltje Toekomst, Hotperdomme Nou and De LIEPDE Show.
