Alongside a new website, the Moluks Historisch Museum also has a new member of staff. Huib Akihary, a familiar face and a long-standing acquaintance of our foundation, joins the Moluks Historisch Museum as curator.
Huib Akihary's background
Huib Akihary has been involved with the Moluks Historisch Museum since the early 1990s. In recent years he has also been actively involved in various initiatives around the country, such as Moluccan Day at the Kwaku Summer Festival in Amsterdam, the Rhythm of Maluku foundation and the Moluccan Future Foundation. He is a freelance art historian and regularly gives lectures and workshops in the Netherlands and Indonesia.
