HE WHO SHOWS NO KINDNESS TO OUR YOUNG AND NO RESPECT FOR OUR ELDERS IS NOT ONE OF US. (THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD, PBUH)

I have many interests that I can talk about with great passion. Within me lives the eternal student who loves seeking adventure by getting to know new people and environments. That's where my real passion lies. We are all given talents and gifts at birth.

By sharing these with others, you make the world more beautiful. I realise more than ever that everything preceding the here and now has been a build-up. Successes are temporary, but so are all setbacks.

The reason I went into catering is because of the warm memories in and around the kitchen. At every major occasion within our Moluccan-Islamic community, the mothers, grandmothers and aunts would come together. This could last for days. Those distinctive smells and the good atmosphere made an unforgettable impression on me. Every time I cook, the smells take me straight back to my childhood. It's actually a form of time travel. With Moluccan customers I always emphasise that it will never taste entirely as they're used to, because the love of their mothers, aunts and grandmothers is the missing ingredient.

From the 1st generation, I have mainly learned to believe in Allah and to put this into practice. The ultimate goal is to develop good manners, good conduct towards yourself, Creation and the Creator. Not words but deeds!
